COFEM’s activities aim to link women’s movements and conversations primarily across the Global Majority, identify emerging issues, and build our global movement. Understanding the politics of knowledge, COFEM’s Regional Features are intended to center and learn from the diverse regional and local practices used to prevent and address violence against women and girls (VAWG) worldwide. Developed by COFEM members around the world, these knowledge products include long-form articles and blogs, research papers and webinars that highlight regional and local issues of gender-based violence.
The Coalition of Feminists for Social Change (COFEM) is an advocacy collective of thought leaders, activists, practitioners and academics working globally to end violence against women and girls (VAWG). COFEM was formed in 2017 to create a feminist space for those working on VAWG to critically engage with, and collectively address, the challenges in VAWG work.
